Amazon New Selection Programme UK: What to Check Before 31 October 2026

Checked against Amazon's UK announcement on 4 October 2026. This guide explains the public notice. Your Seller Central account and the current full programme terms determine whether a particular ASIN qualifies.

By Method FBA · Updated 4 October 2026

The short answer

Amazon's introductory New Selection Programme (2026) offer is not a blanket rebate for every FBA seller. Its UK announcement says sellers already enrolled in the previous programme automatically receive the new benefits for eligible new branded FBA ASINs launched from 30 July to 31 October 2026. To continue receiving the new programme's benefits after 31 October, Amazon says you must confirm your enrolment.

Two questions to separate

First, does your seller account have the right enrolment? Second, does the product meet the programme's new-to-FBA and branded-product rules? Answering one does not answer the other.

A seller with an existing Amazon business should not assume that every new listing earns these benefits. Nor should a seller assume that benefits received during the introductory period prove that enrolment will continue afterwards.

What the dates mean

DateWhat Amazon's announcement says
30 July 2026The New Selection Programme (2026) launches with increased benefits. The announcement says the previous programme ends from this date.
30 July to 31 October 2026Existing enrolled sellers automatically receive the new benefits for qualifying new branded FBA ASIN launches during this introductory offer.
After 31 October 2026Amazon says sellers must confirm enrolment in New Selection Programme (2026) to continue receiving its benefits.
First inventory receivedThe announcement ties the product's benefit period to its first inventory received date. Creating a listing or dispatching stock is not the same event.

Do not treat 31 October as a universal dispatch deadline or promise that stock sent before it will qualify. Check the exact eligibility and received-date rules before planning a shipment around the offer.

Credits are not the same as a cash rebate

Amazon describes instant fee credits equivalent to capping referral fees at 10% on the first 100 units and 5% on the next 100 units, or the existing referral rate if that is lower. It says these credits apply to major fees such as referral and fulfilment fees.

That is not a promise of a 10% discount, a 5% profit margin or money paid to your bank account. The rate cap, eligible units and fees matter. Do not subtract a headline percentage from your buy price and call the result your new margin.

The notice also lists voucher variable-fee and Vine enrolment credits, alongside time-limited storage, returns, liquidation and selected surcharge benefits. These have unit caps and time limits. Read the full terms for the product you are considering rather than counting every headline benefit as a saving you will use.

Each marketplace has its own qualification

The announcement treats the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain stores as separate regions. It says sellers can qualify independently in each.

For a UK operator, that means a UK eligibility check is not evidence of eligibility in Germany or another store. Keep the marketplace beside each account, ASIN, received date and expected benefit in your launch notes.

Do not add New Seller Incentives on top

Amazon says New Selection Programme (2026) benefits do not stack with New Seller Incentives. If you qualify for both, New Seller Incentives benefits are applied first.

A spreadsheet that adds both programmes to the same units can overstate the saving. Record which incentive actually applies before changing a purchasing or pricing decision.

A practical account check

  1. Open the current programme terms in your UK Seller Central account. Check enrolment, not just a past credit on a transaction.
  2. Check the specific ASIN. Verify the branded-product and new-to-FBA conditions. Do not infer them from a listing being new to your own catalogue.
  3. Record first inventory received. Use the date Amazon records, rather than your supplier's dispatch date.
  4. Identify the incentive that applies. Check New Seller Incentives before counting New Selection benefits.
  5. Review post-October enrolment. Follow the confirmation route in the current programme page if you intend to continue after the introductory period.
  6. Keep a normal-cost scenario. Compare the product using ordinary fees as well as any verified temporary credits. A limited launch benefit does not repair an otherwise poor buying decision.

This is a check of public eligibility information, not an instruction to buy stock, enrol an account or change a listing automatically.

Questions UK sellers ask

Does every new ASIN qualify?

No. The announcement describes eligible new-to-FBA branded products. Being new to your catalogue is not enough to establish that an ASIN qualifies. Check the current programme terms.

Is confirmation only for new sellers?

The notice specifically discusses sellers already enrolled in the previous New Selection Programme. It says they must confirm enrolment to continue receiving the new programme's benefits after 31 October.

Can I claim both New Selection and New Seller Incentives?

Amazon says the benefits do not stack and that New Seller Incentives apply first if you qualify for both.

Does UK enrolment cover the other European stores?

Do not assume it does. Amazon describes the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain as separate regions with independent qualification.
