UK Amazon FBA profit calculator

Type in your own fees from Seller Central or Amazon's FBA Revenue Calculator, then your buy price. You get profit per unit, margin, ROI, the VAT you owe and the most you can pay for the stock. We don't fill in any Amazon fee rates for you: they change, and they depend on your product's category, size and the time of year.

These are the fictional example figures from our guide Amazon UK seller fees explained (fee figures checked against Amazon's UK fee pages, guide updated 27 Oct 2026; the buy, prep and shipping costs are made up). Replace every figure with your own before you buy anything.
1 · The sale
2 · Amazon fees (you type these in)

Copy each figure from Seller Central, the FBA Revenue Calculator or Amazon's UK fee pages for this product. Leave a box empty if it doesn't apply. Fees are normally shown excluding VAT.

Packaged size, used only for storage (cubic feet are worked out for you):

3 · Your costs per unit
4 · VAT

Know which products are worth it before you buy

The calculator tells you if one product makes money. The Method FBA course shows you how to find those products week after week: sourcing, reading Keepa, UK VAT and fees, and when to walk away.

Questions

Why don't you fill in Amazon's fees for me?

Amazon's UK fees depend on category, price band, size tier, weight and season (peak and non-peak), and they change several times a year. A calculator with old rates built in gives confident wrong answers. Copy today's figures for your product from Seller Central or the FBA Revenue Calculator instead. Our fees guide explains each one.

How is the referral fee worked out?

Your referral percentage times the sale price the buyer pays (including VAT), or the per-item minimum if that is higher. Some categories use different percentages for different price bands, so pick the rate for your actual sale price.

How is VAT handled?

If you tick "VAT-registered" and the product is standard-rated, output VAT is the sale price × rate ÷ (100 + rate), so one sixth of the price at 20%. If your buy price includes VAT you can reclaim, the calculator uses the price without it. If you can't reclaim VAT on Amazon's fees, tick that box and the VAT is added on top of the fees. This is a guide, not tax advice: schemes such as the Flat Rate Scheme work differently.

What do ROI and margin mean here?

ROI is profit ÷ everything you spent to get the unit to Amazon (buy price, prep, shipping and other costs). Margin is profit ÷ sale price. Break-even buy price is the buy price where profit is £0.

Is anything I type sent anywhere?

No. The sums run in your browser. Your last inputs are saved only in this browser so they're there next time. "Copy share link" puts your inputs in the link itself, so only share it with people you want to see them.
