Amazon SFP size-tier checks from 30 October 2026: the UK seller checklist
SFP eligibility stops being one account-level read on 30 October. Here is what changes per size tier, what is measured now versus assessed in January, and the checks to run before the switch.
From 30 October 2026, Amazon UK stops judging Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) eligibility with one account-level read and starts judging it separately for three product size tiers: standard-size, oversize and extra-large. Two new tier-specific rules arrive alongside that change, and a grace period runs to 6 January 2027. If you sell SFP in the UK, this is the checklist to work through before the switch.
Amazon's UK announcement says that from 30 October 2026 it will assess your existing SFP metrics at tier level instead of account level. The metrics themselves are familiar: use of a shipping method that supports weekend operations, on-time shipment rate, Buy Shipping or Easy Ship usage, and cancellation rate. What changes is that each tier now has to stand on its own, and two tiers get new requirements. Standard-size products need at least 25% of customer page views to show a delivery date within one day. Extra-large products can ship with a carrier outside Amazon Buy Shipping or Easy Ship, as long as Amazon receives a valid tracking number and those orders hold an on-time delivery rate of at least 97%. Neither new requirement is assessed until 6 January 2027.
What actually changes on 30 October
Today, your SFP eligibility is read across your whole account. A strong oversize operation can quietly carry a weak standard-size one, and the other way round. From 30 October each tier is measured on its own numbers, so a problem in one tier is a problem for that tier, not something the rest of your catalogue averages away.
The four existing metric areas stay in place, now read per tier:
- Shipping method that supports weekend operations
- On-time shipment rate
- Buy Shipping or Easy Ship usage
- Cancellation rate
The detailed requirements live on Amazon's "Maintain enrolment in Seller Fulfilled Prime" policy page, which Amazon says will be updated to reflect the new criteria on 30 October. Product dimensions and tier boundaries are set out on the "Eligible product selection for Seller Fulfilled Prime" page.
The three tiers, side by side
| Check | Standard-size | Oversize | Extra-large |
|---|---|---|---|
| Existing metrics assessed at tier level from 30 Oct 2026 | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| New: at least 25% of customer page views show a one-day delivery date | Yes - measured now, not assessed until 6 Jan 2027 | No | No |
| New: carrier outside Buy Shipping / Easy Ship allowed with valid tracking, if on-time delivery stays at least 97% on those orders | No | No | Yes - not assessed until 6 Jan 2027 |
The standard-size one-day delivery rule
This is the requirement most UK SFP sellers will feel first. At least a quarter of customer page views on your standard-size products must show shoppers a delivery date within one day. That is a page-view measure, not an order measure: it reflects what delivery promise your shipping templates and handling times present to customers before they buy, not just how you perform after checkout.
Amazon says the SFP dashboard can already show this percentage for standard-size products, so you can see where you stand before assessment begins. If the number sits below 25%, the levers are the usual promise levers: cut-off times, handling time, weekend-capable shipping settings and which regions your templates promise one-day delivery to.
The extra-large carrier rule
Extra-large SFP orders get more flexibility. From 30 October you can use a logistics provider outside Amazon Buy Shipping or Easy Ship for these orders, provided Amazon receives a valid carrier tracking number. The trade-off is performance: those orders must maintain an on-time delivery rate of at least 97%. For sellers moving furniture, gym equipment or other bulky lines through specialist carriers, this is the part of the notice worth reading twice.
The grace period to 6 January 2027
Amazon says it will start measuring the new tier-level metrics on 30 October, but your Prime eligibility will not be assessed under the standard-size one-day delivery requirement or the extra-large on-time delivery requirement until 6 January 2027. Until then you may receive notification emails when you fall below the bar, with suggestions to improve. Treat those emails as a rehearsal: the measurement is real from 30 October, even where enforcement waits for January.
What to do this week
- Open your SFP dashboard and note the standard-size one-day page-view percentage now, not on 29 October.
- Map your catalogue into the three tiers so you know which products each assessment covers.
- If you ship extra-large items through your own carrier, confirm valid tracking reaches Amazon on every order and work out your current on-time delivery rate for those orders.
- Re-check the "Maintain enrolment in Seller Fulfilled Prime" policy page after 30 October, when Amazon says the complete updated requirements will be reflected there.
What this notice does not tell you
This is a general UK announcement. It does not read your account, your dashboard or your metrics, and neither does this guide. Whether your operation passes or fails any tier is a question for your own Seller Central data and the current policy text. If you run FBM alongside FBA, our guides to FBM delivery rate rules and FBM customer service points and account health cover the wider seller-fulfilled scorecard this sits inside.
